TDP Heat Lamp Basic Guideline

1) Please note that the heat lamp will take approximately 10 minutes to warm up. After preheating for 10 minutes, please allow an additional 10 minutes for the temperature to increase.

2) As a general guideline, the distance between the treatment surface and the heating head should be approximately 8-10 inches. Positioning the heating head closer than 8" to the body is not recommended, as burns or damages to the skin may occur. Actual positioning of the TDP head may be adjusted to reach the desired level of heat.

3) A minimum of 40 minutes per treatment session on the targeted area is recommended. Please note that the treatment time for a given session may vary depending on the condition being treated.

4) For treatment purposes, the heat lamp only provides enough heat for therapeutic heat treatments. Please do not expect a higher temperature range, as higher temperatures may cause the skin to overheat and burn.

If the TDP does not heat up, follow the steps below:

1. One possible reason the TDP Lamp Head may suddenly stop heating, even after working normally, is that the power cord/connector between the TDP Head and Neck has become loose.
First, check that the connection is fully and securely plugged in.

2. Turn on the power switch and check whether the orange indicator light turns on. If the light does not turn on, replace the two fuses with 250 V, 3 A fuses that have the same physical dimensions (same diameter and length) as the original fuses.

To replace the fuses:
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to open the two fuse holders on the back of the control panel, then replace the fuses.

3. If the orange indicator light is on but the lamp still does not produce heat, the heating coil inside the TDP Head may be broken or may have reached the end of its service life. In this case, replace the heating coil or replace the entire TDP Head.

Replacing the TDP Head is relatively easy. Replacing the heating coil is more time-consuming, as shown in the instructions (Steps 1–11) above.

* If your TDP Lamp is designed so that the Head’s power cord cannot be disconnected from the connector on the Neck, the entire Head cannot be replaced. In that case, the Heating Coil must be replaced.
